Today, we will talk all about the most popular mistakes that speed up premature aging of your skin. Not just some mistakes but the mistakes that can truly make you look way older. After all, each one of us would like to preserve the young look for as long as possible, ain’t that right ladies?

In no way, am I implying you don’t know how to take care of yourself. However, most of us happen to make those common aging mistakes. And you know what? I made those too (and sometimes still do). There’s nothing wrong with it. The important thing is to determine what is harmful to your skin and make the effort to limit the number of slip-ups.

Few words on what is harmful to the skin and speeds up its aging processes!

The skincare trends change year by year or more like season by season. Today, we use way better cosmetics than we did few, or several years back. We are more aware of our skincare… yet still, we commit those mistakes that cost us faster aging.

Here are the greatest of sins against the beauty – you’ll be surprised to learn that it is more than just a matter of skincare. It is more about all the factors that have an impact on our skin’s condition.

THE SIN NO. 1

Drinking too much coffee in a day.

To many of us, coffee is a must in the morning and we simply cannot start our day or function properly without it. We tend to start our day with a coffee instead of proper breakfast and throughout the day, we drink a few more cups of coffee.

What is the coffee impact on our organism? Not many of us are aware of the fact that coffee aids dehydration and as we know the first and the fastest to age is skin that lacks hydration. Drinking too much coffee is a road straight to your first wrinkles and making the one you have more prominent.

THE SIN NO. 2

Going to sleep with your make-up on.

Sometimes I can’t believe it’s a thing myself, yet it turns out that it is very much possible. This is a mistake I, personally, haven’t made but there are women who go to bed with their make-up on.

You should know that not removing your make-up before sleep is a very serious mistake. During the night skin regenerates itself and in order to do that correctly, it needs to be clean. The cosmetics that stay on the skin cause it to be unable to breathe and regenerate. Clogged pores cause irritation and skin prematurely ages.

THE SIN NO. 3

Rubbing and squinting your eyes.

Do you know which wrinkles tend to appear on our faces as the first ones? Obviously, the laughter lines, the ones by the eyes to be precise, those we often call crow’s feet. These wrinkles can appear sooner or later depending on how we take care of ourselves.

To some, it’ll probably come as a surprise that squinting and rubbing your eyes can make wrinkles appear prematurely. Still, it is all true! If you do it often, you can unnecessarily stretch your skin and cause it to loos the elasticity. It is not difficult considering that the skin around the eyes is extremely thin and gentle.

THE SIN NO. 4

Incorrect weight and diet.

It’s something for all dieting nuts who use restrictive diets. As far as one time detox shouldn’t cause too much harm, you need to keep in mind that skin doesn’t like to be undernourished by being on diet all the time.

If your diet is incorrect, then the skin will not get all the necessary nutrients that help it regenerate. If your BMI is incorrect and on top of it our diet is imbalanced, the effects will soon follow. The skin will lose the suppleness and elasticity because it no longer will be able to produce the proper amount of collagen and elastin.

A long hot bath.

Lastly, we have baths because those also have an impact on how our skin looks like. This is not an entry that hits only in the owners of the bath because the skin can be equally damaged by hot baths and shower. How?

Sadly, taking long hot baths significantly weakens the natural lipid barrier of our skin. It’s a protective layer that prevents skin dehydration and protects against UV rays. Hot baths may cause dryness, irritation, but also spider veins to appear. It all makes us look a few years older.
