Make-up mistakes – We keep on doing them though everyone can see it!

Hey, cuties!

Today, I’ll be pointing you out the mistakes, but to make the experience less sour let me assure you that I’m guilty of some sins myself. I won’t tell you which ones exactly, but I hope that me confessing that I did will allow you to approach the subject with a dose of healthy perspective. Today’s subject is about make-up mistakes people do while probably not knowing how it looks on their faces. What’s it about? I rush to explain.

Make-up mistakes – the most common sins and how to avoid them

I know that make-up is an art that allows you to express yourself but let’s just say that some of the manifestos should not be exposed to the light of day because the only message it sends is that you don’t know how to do your make-up and your sense of beauty is contrary to the general beauty trends. Actually, it’s in an entirely different category than beauty. So, if you want to avoid getting in one basket with Borat, the white boots lady and all the guys with Mcgyver hair – please check the below list. Here are the most common make-up mistakes.

1. Make-up mistakes – so-called, slap

The true classic in the ridiculousness category. A thick layer of foundation, in fact, hides nothing. It only shows the truth about the fact that you have a lot to hide and you know no moderation. There’s nothing worse than the foundation that does not blend with the skin, it just sits there, gathering in all of the creases of the face. Yuk!

2. Make-up mistakes – the line on the jawline

I know that foundation is called ‘face foundation’ but for god’s sake just go a bit down the jawline or even lower – to the very neck! It’s absolutely the worst when the face stands out due to the foundation you applied in a slightly different color than the skin of the face, neck, and cleavage. Not cool! It looks like you are a humanoid for which production the nude-colored plastic just runs out.

Choose your foundation accordingly to the face complexion and don’t follow the unrealistic belief that the skin should or could look like that so you just take the foundation that is two shades too dark. If you have trouble finding the right color or have difficulties determining your skin complexion, just ask your beautician help. She will show you which shades are the closest to your skin tone.

3. Make-up mistakes – spider legs

We’ve arrived at lashes. Oh, you can go wild in this department, don’t you? Lumps, clumps, lashes glued together and five billion layers of mascara. Effect? Your lashes are not longer, they’re not even thicker, but congratulation, you just managed to grow a spider on your eye!

Remember that 2 maybe 3 layers of mascara tops is enough. When putting on the mascara, do not wait for the one layer to dry, work on the still wet product. If your mascara clumps lashes – it can be the fault of a dirty wand, so twice a week clean it in clean, warm water. Better? For sure it applies product way better!

4. Make-up mistakes – caterpillar brows

Girls, one question, what have those poor brows ever did to you that you torture them like this? Before you go for that tweezers, keep in mind that the silent movies era is a thing of past now, so are the 90s and today thick, natural brows are a thing so leave those brows be and don’t do the thin line that makes you look way older! Visit the beautician instead, she will provide the right shape for the brows – then you can just pluck individual hairs that appear out of place.

5. Make-up mistakes – too much bronzer and blusher

Bronzer, modern definition: two dark stains on the cheeks. It looks like you had some sunbathing with oil, no SPF and the sun has gotten to you. So, if you don’t want to hear things like ‘yo, what SPF has left you?’ – I beg of you, less bronzer. It’s not calamander, it’s your skin.

The same goes for blusher. I don’t know why most of you have a dangerous tendency to overkill the blusher. Then I see those gals with a blush like they just came back from Syberia and it froze the hell out of them. If you’re not hitting on some Finn, don’t create a style like the past 10 years you have been living in an igloo!

That’s it. No more rubbing the wounds. Obviously, there are many more make-up mistakes but those above are absolute classic 😉 Maybe you would add something to them? I encourage you to leave a comment! <3
