Review: Nanobrow Eyebrow Powder Kit
Hey!
I have always used pencils for my brow makeup but since they’ve become weak and started to fall out, I chose powders which are far more delicate for the skin. The intensely pigmented, resistant to smudging and smearing powders by Nanobrow are my latest discovery.
My blog couldn’t have missed a Nanobrow Eyebrow Powder Kit review! 🙂
Nanobrow Eyebrow Powder Kit – review
Excellently pigmented shades for eyebrows and eyes are my absolute must-have. Without good pigments of your brow powders, you won’t be able to create an expressive look or layer the intensity of the colours. The great quality of the powders allows you to build up the depth of colours. The shades blend with each other well, don’t leave residue on your cheeks and are rich in pigments. The application itself is easy and enjoyable. The kit is equipped with an applicator with a slanted brush and a little sponge. What’s more, the product’s rich formula ensures a satin finish and a natural effect. The Nanobrow powders can be used solo or in combination with other makeup products such as gels or mascaras. The composition includes aloe vera, avocado oil or white clay.
PROS:
+ good pigmentation and balanced shades
+ soft formula and satin finish
+ resistance to smudging or rubbing off
+ is equipped with a highlighter
+ a natural subtle effect
+ the powders don’t leave residue on the skin
+ they are easy to blend
+ the effect intensity can be layered
+ a sturdy packaging
+ a 2in1 applicator (brush & sponge)
+ three colour variants to choose from (light, medium, dark)
CONS:
– I don’t use the sponge so it’s kind of useless
How to do brow makeup with powders?
Here’s my step-by-step guide on how to use powders for your eyebrow makeup:
• Prepare your eyebrows – make sure they are clean and dry, comb them with a spoolie or a brush.
• Choose the colour of your powders – select a shade matching the natural colour of your eyebrows. You can use a few shades to achieve a more natural effect.
• Pick a brush – use the one that comes with the set or a brow brush with small and delicate bristles so it’s easier to apply the shades and contour your arches with precision.
• Apply the powders – grab a brush and prepare the powders. Starting at the fronts of your eyebrows, apply the shade in a delicate manner. Use short strokes to add extra fake hairs or fill in bigger sparse areas. Define the brow tails with a darker shade and the front with a lighter one. Remember to use small amounts of the product and slowly build up the colour.
• Define the shape – use a brush and a lighter shade to map the desired eyebrow shape, enhancing the natural look. Draw a thin line along the upper and lower edges.
• Blend the shades – take a spoolie or a brush to blend the shades and soften the edges a little.
• Finish the makeup – in the end, you can grab a transparent brow gel to consolidate the powders. You can also use a highlighter from the kit to accentuate your arches.
If you need a quick and easy way to fill in your brows, Nanobrow Eyebrow Kit is the right choice for you! 🙂 Its smooth consistency allows you to define your arches subtly, highlight them delicately and sculpt the shape. Brow powders are usually easier to blend and help build up the colour than pencils and pomades so you can maintain a natural look.
Like styling eyebrows with powders? Or maybe you’re “team pencil”? 🙂
